3. Create a written script for the story.

4. Create short and easy to understand sentences.

5. Simplify and explain complex ideas.

6. Create a storyboard that outlines the news report.

7. Describe the action through narration and video.

8. Create 5 seconds of black leader and fade into the first scene.

9. Create 5 seconds of black leader after the last scene.

10. Include a sound bite from an expert involved with the story.

11. Use only a small amount of music if necessary.

12. Show each picture or scene for an appropriate length of time.

13. Use clean cuts in the video.

14. Include a good introduction and conclusion.

15. Frame all video appropriately.

16. Use good light for the video.

17. Do not have any distracting backgrounds.

18. Export the video as an .AVI file for broadcast purposes.
