Directions: From this module, the Rocket is related to propulsion, construction, and design of a rocket. Initially, a simple rocket is constructed and tested by using manufactured engine propulsion. This allows the students to test design, friction, drag, and lift of the rocket, along with the flight of their rocket.

This module contains several lessons and assignments. One day will be used for assessment of the student's progress and actual construction of the rocket.. Completion of the module includes; rocket being launched, and completing all of the assignments.
  1.  Locate the Rocket materials in the SMS Share File, under Reed, go to the File labeled “Rocketry”. Copy off All assignments.

  2. Go to SMS Share File, under Reed, go to the File “ Sci – Tech” under Flight go to “Rockets”, this will help you with your assignment sheets.

  3. Begin to complete all of the assignments, pre-tests, post-tests, Vocabulary, word search, and puzzle, complete and turn in to instructor.

  4. After completing most of your assignments, there is an assignment which is labeled “Time Line”, Read the entire assignment before starting and check with the instructor before starting.

  5. Complete the “Time Line” with 30 dates.

  6. Review all vocabulary terms and enhance your knowledge- take notes, so you use during your assessment, when turning in all of your assignments.

  7. After completing All of your assignments, locate the Rocket kit from instructor.

  8. View all instructions first, and then proceed with the first steps of design.

  9. Review your design phase and begin the construction phase.

  10. Locate hand tools, Hot Glue gun and Utility knife for help in the construction phase.

  11. After completing the upper construction phases- the fin phase will begin- make sure you use good judgment in the placement of the fins.

  12. After completing all construction phases check your work for improvements.

  13. Locate the finishing phase worksheet. This will provide you the finishing information.

  14. Complete the final phase, by checking with the instructor for your engine and starter materials.

  15. It is now time to launch your Rocket.

  16. Complete the flight evaluation sheet and turn in.

  17. Complete the final module/project critique sheet- and turn in to the instructor.
