Make sure the telescoping guard returns automatically to cover the blade after each cut.

Do not set the saw down until the blade stops.

Eye protection must be worn while using the saw.

If the blade binds or smokes, stop cutting immediately..

Make sure the power cord is clear of the blade.

Be sure the material you are cutting is adequately supported.

Remove tie, rings and watch, and toll up sleeves.

Check the base setting for the proper depth of the cut.
