Directions: Learn the basics of computer hardware, software, and operating systems.
  1. Print a copy of the Computer Hardware Test.

  2. Listen to a presentation about the parts of a computer and take notes so that you can identify and label the items on a test. Describe what the part did and why it was important to the computer.

  3. Identify and describe the following items: tower, monitor, keyboard, mouse, operating system, network card, hard drive, floppy drive, floppy disk, motherboard, battery, cpu, ram, power supply, and cooling fan on a written test.

  4. Memorize the parts of a computer and prepare for a test without notes.

  5. Print a copy of the test, name the parts of the computer, and describe what the parts do.
