Directions: Develop an understanding about the history of the personal computer by writing  an essay.  You will also learn to take notes and identify keys points while watching a video.
  1. Watch a video about the history of the personal computer.

  2. Take notes about key points, dates, people, and companies that contributed to the development of the computer.

  3. Write a minimum of a two page essay that describes the history of the computer.

  4. Organize the essay chronologically.

  5. Use standard writing conventions and avoid editing errors that distract the reader.

  6. Make the reader feel like you are an expert about the personal computer.

  7. Include many of the following topics in your essay.

  8. Save the essay as computer_history.doc in your technology folder and link it to your technology home page.
